Joe Francis and the L.A. Times

The next time someone complains about what a terrible paper the Los Angeles Times is, send them this unbelievable Claire Hoffman profile of Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis. In terms of writerly and reportorial degree of difficulty, this is the hardest-to-execute piece I've read in a very long time.

You know what? You're sassy and I love it--give her a T-shirt.

Yeah, sure it's well- written. But, seriously, WTF?! The guy physically assaults her in front of the cops and she's soooooo concerned with getting the story that she lets him get away with it? I swear to God that 95% of all women, including my wife, are out of their GD minds. No wonder so many of them are willing to flash their ta- tas for Francis.

Hmmmm. A guy who objectifies women and induces them to perform depraved sexual acts for nothing more than a T- shirt is also inclined to engage in date rape.

What's next for this intrepid reporter? Perhaps a story on how holding your head under water for over an hour causes drowning?

Agreed with 9:22 post. My mom and sister are smarter than me, but they are fricking nuts.

And the women allow themselves to be treated as objects - Joe Francis just capitalizes on it. Last time I checked, they took off their shirts on their own accord.
