(And if they're single layer, that makes them even cheaper.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7871003.post-84365588323977097692008-12-13T10:18:00.000-05:002008-12-13T10:18:00.000-05:00Two notes about Dark Knight that I hadn't picked u...Two notes about Dark Knight that I hadn't picked up on before.

* Aaron Eckhart's performance is great. I think it's on par or greater than Ledger's.

* I'm starting to convince myself that Maggie Gyllenhaal was cast as some kind of inside joke to use Rachel Dawes to mock Maggie's own liberal views. Rachel Dawes comes off as incredibly naive about the danger the Joker and his followers present.
Most notably when she asks Alfred why Bruce is going to let Harvey take the fall as Batman. She can't see the bigger implications of giving in to the Joker, and the consequences of not fighting him no matter how dirty it gets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7871003.post-80527957869429791112008-12-12T22:12:00.000-05:002008-12-12T22:12:00.000-05:00Um. He wants to "unmask" Batman as a homicidal thug. It's the same thing he is after with the ferry plan. He wants the "good" citizens to blow up the criminals and unmask themselves in the process. I wouldn't be suprised if only the "good" citizens' detnonator was functional.

He is far more sucessful at unmasking of Harvey. The result, of course, is the fiction published by Batman and Gordon at the end of the film, whereby Batman adopts, as a mask, the identity of a homicidal thug while masking Harvey's true nature.Tordesquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13590412053403947808noreply@blogger.com
