I think I was one of five Republicans troubled by President Bush's landing on the Lincoln back in 2003, but this story positively creeps me out.

Is there any conceivable reason for a Russian head of state to be on a bomber which is firing test missiles? I mean, any reason that isn't very, very worrisome?

    Did you miss this?

In 2000, while still acting president, Putin landed a Su-27 fighter in Chechnya, where Russian forces were mounting a fierce bombing and shelling campaign against the rebel-held capital city Grozny

Since you didn't like the Lincoln, imagine the American equivalent of that. Clinton flying an F-16 into Priština? LBJ landing an F-4 on Cam Ranh Bay? Lincoln sailing an ironclad into Savannah?

Six! Six?! You're back! I always wondered what happened to you after you left Blossom.

And, yeah, Putin was on his way to the Sino-Russian "anti-terrorist" exercise, which had a suspicious amount of strategic bombers and naval landings...
