That would be President George W. Bush, according to calypso singer Harry Belafonte. On a recent trip to Venezuela where he enjoyed the company of dictator Hugo Chavez, Belafonte had this to say: "No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people ... support your revolution." (I'd hate to be his agent right now.) I know, it's not surprising. But it's nevertheless
disappointing.
I thought the greatest terrorist in the world is Ari Fleischer....
ReplyDeleteMr. Belafonte should get his facts straight
Mike
k, even if what you say is true that is still a far cry from the greatest terrorist in the world. Perhaps Harry got caught up in the moment and couldn't help himself?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a case of the vapors yourself.
Okay, Belafonte's claim to fame is that about 50 years ago he had a hit song about loading bananas onto a boat. That's pretty much it.
ReplyDeleteSo why exactly do people pay any attention to him at all?
Day-O! Day-ay-ay-O!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he means "greatest terrorist in the world" as a compliment? If you're the greatest something at least your good at something. Someday I'm sure Harry B will found out what he's good at, and perhaps he'll be kind enough to tell us when he does.
