Now that we've succeeded in driving away three of our four readers, I wanted to let you know that the Galley Slaves will return, probably next week, maybe sooner.
Not that you care. Nor should you.
But just so you can't say that I didn't warn you: The blog will be different and, in all probability, even more useless than it was in its first incarnation.
I'm sure you don't think that's possible. But we'll prove you wrong. Just wait.

one out of four readers says, it will be nice to have you back.
The blogosphere is a cold and empty place without the Slaves. Come back JVL. Come back Skinner. Come back Vic. A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.
Reader #3 chiming in...
Extrapolating your previous uselessness forward, we eagerly await your return and new incarnation.
So I really am #4. My question is, will 2.0 be more Galley or more Slave?
No, there are 5 of us. And I for one have missed you. Looking forward to the bigger, better, badder GS. As long as it includes frequent obscure references to Arrested Development, I'll remain faithful.
I gotta have more cowbell. And Gslaves. I live in a state far from the Garden One and count on the slaves to remind me of Jersey.
Geez Johnny V, that hiatus was longer the Andrew Sullivan's blog "retirement"-
Glad to have you back.
Yes, all of Port McClellan's custodians applaud the return of Galley.
"I'm not sure I'd say I've been 'missing' it, Bob."
It's been a cold world without you guys...
Damn, I thought I was in the top 3 of the 4 readers...guess not. Still doesn't explain why I've been refreshing a page that's barely changed at all in the last 3 months.
I think you should change the title of this post to:
"Out for Lunch, Dinner, Cocktails that evening, and the next morning's breakfast..."
You guys have been gone a while.
Missed the blog. Glad it will be back.
I don't know if this is a plea for suggestions regarding the new format, but if you don't mind I have an idea:
Why not just post "Ann Althouse has thoughts" a few times a day. Occassionally toss in a "More from Tom Maguire - just keep scrolling."
I'm not sure why, but this format seems to be wildly popular on the internets. But then again, what do I know? I can't fathom why Dave Matthews would sell out a coffee-bar let alone a stadium.
I have missed GS; however, with 2.0 please reduce the amount of gay stuff. You know, the "I don't like you in that way" stuff.
The Action is the Juice...
and the Juice is worth the squeeze.
And here I thought I was one out of the four readers. Obviously, I was wrong.
Although, technically, "reader" is probably pushing it. I just come here for the pictures, really.
Reading those bits on the WS trip, I thought you'd met Julie the cruise director on your "Love Boat" tour and the two of you were on a coked up bender somewhere around Cazumel. Too bad you were just on hiatus.
