"Don't believe everything you see on VH1."
The amusing, disarming, and multitalented Stewart Copeland, drummer for The Police, the English band also known as the only time Sting didn't suck. WashPo WashPO He's doing publicity for his Police documentary, Everyone Stares.
I agree with Barnett ("the other Dean"... or am I "the other Dean"?). Sting has always been a prima donna. Both Andy and Stewart always seemed to be talented and basically nice though. To be honest, it's a miracle these guys ever got together. Just look at the personalities. A prima donna (Sting), an eccentric (Andy), and what seems to be a fairly normal guy (Stewart). And yet they practically ruled the charts. It should be no surprise that they exited so quickly and quirkily given the dynamic at play.
The Police was the first rock concert I ever attended, 1981 in Hollywood, Florida. Great band until Synchronicity. Sting got a bit too full of himself.
BTW, here is a really interesting article from the Washington Post on "The Great Zucchini": No he isn't a porn star, he is a children's birhtday party act in the Washington D.C. area.

Sting has always sucked. Period.
"I stopped bleaching my hair 20 years ago but now it's bleaching itself."
Well at least Copeland can laugh at himself. Now, the other guy in the band ...
