AICN has a summary of the script that's basically Star Trek meets Top Gun, but in a good way.
I'd love to see this movie made if for no other reason than to give Paul Cantor an excuse to riff on Star Trek and neoconservatism.

Wow that was terrible.
To properly read between the lines, remember that the man writing this piece refers to the uniformly horrid Star Trek V as "a smattering of fantastic moments that never expand to an entirety of greatness".
Thank god, this abomination never got made.
