Pop!

Galley Friend and Fourth Slave C.L. understands my obsession with the real estate bubble and has sent, in an attempt to drive me over the edge, this amazing link.

Go and be sure to read all the way down.

Update: But this post might even be better. Put Burbed in your RSS today.

Man, crazy. Although I have to say, the idea of using that place as a "kill house" for practicing hostage rescue did occur to me. Upside: Live ammo can only improve the apparance of the place.

A friend of mine reports that small 1,000-sq.-ft. houses in some parts of L.A. are going for like $700K. Not sure if that's really true, but so says the grapevine.

Of course, Burbed is high on the DC market, so I'm compelled to hate them on principle. It's no excuse to say the No-Cal market is crazier. They don't have August like we do.

Thanks for linking to my site!

There are definitely 1000 sqft houses that go for $700k.

Here's one:

$769k for a 675 sqft house.
