My initial answer would be "both" (down with Manicheanism!), but on further reflection, is Carson Daly a writer or one who employs writers? If A, then he is a scab, but if B, he is in effect soliciting scabs, if only for lame comedic purposes.

The good news is that regardless of A or B, his scumsuckingness remains constant.
