In my Newsletter column today I slag off on the vanity of sportswriters, but I want to (again) point you towards Bill Lyon, one of the best there is. His column on the Army-Navy game is simply perfect.

I always thought Lyon's work to be both arrogant and lazy, but then again what do you expect from a big city columnist.
