Galley Friend S.B. sent me this clip of a sports-talk show where the guest is Len Pasquarelli.
I don't know when this was taped, but the host refers to Todd "Stinkston" in the promo. Pasquarelli gets on the air and immediately takes umbrage, asking the host how many times he's gone over the middle in an NFL game and insisting that Pinkston is a pretty good player. After about 20 seconds, Pasquarelli hangs up.
In related news, the Eagles released Pinkston today. They probably didn't do that because they have too much depth at wide-out. Ah, Pasquarelli, the sage of ESPN football. If you paired him in a podcast feature with that genius Sean Salisbury, then I'd totally buy ESPN Mobile.
Just for kicks, watch this clip of Pinkston in action, and pay attention to the last line from the commentators:

Fly Eagles Fly...
Pasquarelli can be a real idiot when he wants to be. Pinkston could look good sometimes but he showed his true colors in the '04 NFCCG and made Ricky Manning Jr. a star while he was at it. He always had problems with physical DBs and always had problems catching the ball in traffic. Speed was really the only reliable asset he had going for him and that ruptured achilles looks to have taken that away from him.
That said, I do think we've got a lot of talent at WR this year. Some of it is raw to be sure but I count at least four decent receivers and I can't remember the last time I would have said that about our WRs. Now that Stallworth is on board I'm really starting to like our chances, especially if we actually try and establish a running game. Okay, that last part is obviously a joke.
While leaving Eagles camp, Pinkston cautiously looked both ways to see if Sean Taylor was anywhere near the parking lot...
Pastabelly is a moron. I'm actually surprised he is still allowed to write for ESPN. Every column turns into an offer to fellate Belichick or desire to murder Dan Snyder. It is well known that Snyder tipped off several reporters to his secret meeting with Gibbs several years ago, but Pastabelly was not one of them. When the rumors surfaced 24 hours in advance of the news that Gibbs was hired, Pastabelly went public on ESPN.com to insist that there was no truth to the rumors and that Gibbs was going to hire Fassel or Denny Green or some other retread. When the news broke that Gibbs was hired, Pastabelly, terribly embarrassed that he was scooped, began his now 3 year old campaign against Snyder, Gibbs, and the Redskins. Last year he predicted they would finish 6-10 and Gibbs would quit, and when they finished 10-6 and won a playoff game he refused to acknowledge he was wrong. He's publicly insulted Gibbs and Snyder, and as a result he no longer has any access to the team. He's a joke.
Clip is much discussed on profootballtalk.com Pasquarelli is buddies with Pinky's agent and therefore says stupid things to pump up Pinky. If you don't like Len read that site.
If you're looking for a replay of the Watters clip, I don't recommend searching YouTube for "alligator arms".
