Great Moments in Law Enforcement

I'd love to hear the rationalizations for this. The video is pretty amazing.

But the real scandal seems to be that the Birmingham police department had the video, and knew about the officers' actions, for months. And did nothing about it. It wasn't until someone in the DA's office saw it and took made a beef that the officers were fired.

I can't help but notice that a majority of the comments seem to be in defense of the officers.

Bad stuff. The officers should be fired.

I can certainly understand an impulse to beat the crap out of the guy seeing that he tried to run over the officer throwing the spike strip (actually it does appear that he clipped the officer); however, that isn't the right thing to do and police should and must be held to a higher standard.
