Is Sotomayor a Sailerite?

Sotomayor's "wise Latina woman" > "White male" remark is getting all the attention (and why a White "male" and not a White "man," by the by?) but this is what snapped my head around:

“Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences,” she said, for jurists who are women and nonwhite, “our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.” [emphasis added]

Isn't that viewpoint normally beyond the pale? (So to speak.) Or is it only career-destroying when Steve Sailer brings it up?

Update: For all her bravery in bringing racialism, it's pretty easy to "terrify" Sotomayor.

Also, I understand that the position of Supreme Court Justice is slightly higher on the prestige meter than Attorney General of the United States, but to argue that "to Hispanics, the nomination would be an absolutely historic landmark" seems to completely forget AG A.G., no?

Or maybe the real lesson is: Only Democrats get credit for diversity hires.

Yes, well, no one remembers Ann Veneman, Elaine Chao, Gale Norton, Mary Peters, Margaret Spellings, Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, Alphonso Jackson, Mel
Martinez, Alberto Gonzales, Carlos Gutierrez, Rod Paige, Norm Mineta...you're right, they don't count. :)

Sotomayor calls herself a Latina which would make Benjamin Cardozo the first Latino Supreme Court Justice. But back them people came to this country, became full-fledge Americans and they did not call themselves Newyorkricans. Her words and actions, if done by a white male or a republican female would have the Democrats in a hissy. And yes, once more Obama comes to defend one of his nominees(she misspoke; they overlooked paying their taxes) .He was 'elected" commander in chief, not apologetist in chief. It will be a big mistake to confirm her. What next, we must nominate only people who represent minorites( the disabled, gays, a muslim, a native americans)?. Enough of this demagoguery. Obama has polarized this country with his labeling everything racist.
Call your Senator tell him NO to Sotomayor.

So, she did not always live in the Bronx, attended private schools and lives the life of the average corporate attorney. She did not chose to stay a public defender where she could have help the less fortunate. Her brother is a doctor who will not take care of Medicare of Medicaid patients. So the Sotomayour children profited from a system that favored minorities, but now they live the lives of the 'neauvo rich".

She is sexist, ethnocentric and will not be impartial. She cries foul at any comment she does not like, but dishes out very strong divisive racist comments.( reverse racism is still racism).
Say No to this ; don't let your elected officials off the hook.
