Believe it or not, I had actually heard about this story a few weeks ago when Gonzales was first nominated. I decided not to move with it not out of any affection for Gonzales, but because his stepson, Jared Freeze, is a young graphic designer and this job working for Hustler was his first gig out of college. Right or wrong, it seemed to me that he didn't deserve to have his life ruined because of his step-father's job.

Still, now that it's out, I'll be interested to see the reaction.

Amen to that. While I wouldn't have worked there, it's a shame that somebody in this day and age can be kept back or punished because of what his step-son or step-dad has done.

Jared never worked for Hustler . . . but they sure got a lot of free publicity out of this false story.

Yes, that's true. Jared Freeze never worked at Hustler. I challenge them to produce one document that proves he ever worked there. It was a rumor started by a girl Jared worked with previously at another company. She WANTED him to come work with her and tricked him to call for the interview. All he ever had was an interview which he thought was just for a publishing firm. He had NO IDEA it was Hustler. He was never hired; never paid a cent.

Jared has more class than this . . .
