Has there been a more intelligent, well acted, realistic crime drama done by Hollywood? Ever?
I'm open to suggestions. Certainly Hitchcock had some good ones. But not the three dimensional universe created by Michael Mann in Heat.
I could watch that DeNiro/Pacino confrontation in the coffee house over and over just to wring every last nuance out of the performances of those two titans.
