The Real John Kerry

Both Kerry and Bush made (pre-taped) appearances on SportsCenter this morning. One of the questions they were asked was whether or not they're worried about the migration of some sports onto cable or pay-per-view.

Bush said he believes in free markets and blah-blah-blah.

Kerry said that he believes there is a threshold where the biggest sporting events should always be available to all folks on broadcast. The two examples he used for big-time sporting events? The Super Bowl and . . . the World Cup.

Those aren't my values!

News Flash, John. The Super Bowl and the World Cup ARE the biggest sporting events in the world. It's nice to see a potential leader of the world's only superpower realize that "World" in sporting event titles can include counties outside the US. And as a leader of the world's only superpower it's nice to see him show leadership in that area.
