Federer Moments

James Blake is my hero for his effort last night. It was the best tennis of his life. The problem with Federer--watch carefully and watch the replays--is this:

OK - What is the problem?

Hope you also witnessed the never before seen "backhand drop shot on a return of serve" in the first set against Blake. Nobody other than Fed even thinks of these shots, much less even thinking of attempting them, or actually attempting them.

The problem, anon 11:05, is that Federer is simply the greatest ever. As great as Blake was, he is no match for Federer. Federer can do things nobody else has ever been able to do, and he does them with ease.

OK 3:46 - I agree that Federer is great (the greatest ever is debatable). I guess I just misunderstood the point of the post - I thought he was smacking Federer. I thought that it was great when I saw it last week.

Why, Jonathan, do you insist on dodging the great issues that today face the nation? Your retreat to the ephemera bespeaks an intellectual and moral bankruptcy of the first order. For shame, sir.

I mean, you dwell on the likes of Federer when one Kevin Federline (b. 3/21/78) has just released "Lose Control." I don't know how things run at The Weekly Standard, but here in America, it's kristol clear. This is the most important musical talent since Beethoven.

When will you face up to reality? SOMETIMES I THINK MY ALL CAPS WARNINGS ARE IN VAIN! HOW DARE YOU NOT DISCUSS WHAT I WANT DISCUSSED, YOU PISSANT THEOCRAT WANNABE!!!
