Lord of the Idiots, or Tonight, Tonight

A freebie for anyone wanting to point out how stupid this blog is. From the April 13, 2005 edition:
I'm Just Saying . . .
That it's pretty obvious to me that the Eagles are going to go 16-0 this season. Go ahead, look at the schedule and tell me where you see a loss.

look, the NFL is almost impossible to predict for an entire season. Game to game it's relatively easy, but for an entire 17 week season it's next to impossible. The Skins could easily be 8-1 or just as easily be 1-8, yet they're 5-4, make sense of that. The same is true for most teams. JVL was an idiot for predicting 16-0, yet I look at the skins's schedule every preseason and see that we're unquestionably going 16-0, and we're not even that good. It's called being a fan.

Four graduate students (myself and three other guys) tried at the beginning of the season to predict each and every game. So far, the best person is about 12 games over 0.500. I'm about one game over 0.500.

I knew I shouldn't have gone for that hype about Arizona, but that 10-6 record I gave Chicago is looking more and more plausible...
